EACH JOURNEY STARTS WITH A SINGLE STEP

Several years ago, a young man was working very hard in the shipping department of a railroad company. His boss offered him a chance to work temporarily in the office. He jumped at the opportunity. During that time, his boss asked him to come up with some valuable facts and figures in their inventory. The young man worked for several days on the project, and then handed his report to his boss, with several extra touches of helpful information that he thought his boss would appreciate.

The young man won the admiration of his boss and was rewarded with a permanent position in the office. From there, he was promoted many times, and eventually became the Vice-President Ralston Purina Company in St. Louis, Missouri.

Give each task your best effort, with a little extra, and you will be rewarded times over.
